New Local Rule Effective 23rd December 2017

Please note the following new local rule effective from 23rd December 2017.

When a ball is lying on the path to the rear of the 15th green and is between the
marked blue lines, a player may either

(a) play the ball is it lies
or
(b) drop the ball (with no penalty) at the nearest dropping zone to the ball.

The dropping zones are designated by blue stakes and marked with blue lines.

Note: When using a dropping zone the following provisions apply regarding
the dropping and re-dropping of the ball:

(a) The player does not have to stand within the dropping zone when dropping the ball.
(b) The dropped ball must first strike a part of the course within the dropping zone.
(c) If the dropping zone is defined by a line, the line is within the dropping zone.
(d) The dropped ball does not have to come to rest within the dropping zone.
(e) The dropped ball must be re-dropped if it

(i) rolls and comes to rest out of bounds
(ii) rolls and comes to rest in a position where there is interference by the condition
from which relief was taken.
(iii) rolls and comes to rest more than two club-lengths from where it first struck a
part of the course.

If the ball when re-dropped rolls into any position listed above, it must be placed as
near as possible to the spot where it first struck a part of the course when re-dropped.

(f) The dropped ball may roll nearer the hole than the spot where it first struck a part of
the course, provided it comes to rest within two club-lengths of that spot and not into
any of the positions covered by (e).

Paul Dunne selected for EurAsia Cup 2018

Congratulations to Paul Dunne on being selected for Team Europe in the 2018 EurAsia Cup. Europe will be led by Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn with the match taking place in January (12-14) at Glenmarie Country Club in Malaysia. This marks another fine achievement for Paul following a stunning season and his debut win at the British Masters. It is hard to think of any team he hasn’t been selected for (once eligible) right through from his amateur days. From Ireland to Palmer Cup to Walker Cup and to now the EurAsia Cup. Another fantastic achievement!

Please exit the tee to the left and continue down the hill on the other side of the gorse.

Although the grass has started to grow on the new section of the 2nd fairway, golfers must still keep off this area as much as possible and keep all trollies and buggies off it completely.

Thank you for your co-operation.
