Huge congratulations to our Fred Daly panel in  winning a Leinster Pennant for the club last Friday in Esker Hills.  The team led from the front (11 birdies in the top match) and were very impressive throughout in beating an excellent side from The Island 4.5 to 0.5. There was lots of support on the day and one player even cut short his holiday to fly back. Well done again to all of the players,  managers, etc. Incredible commitment from all.  There were excellent write ups on both the GUI website and the Greystones Guide. The next stage is an All Ireland semi final in Tramore in late September.

On Friday our Fred Daly Team play in the Leinster Final at Esker Hills Golf Club at 10am against The Island. If you can,  please get down to Offaly to support the team.

Huge congratulations to Martin Commons and his Metropolitan Team who defeated Naas last Friday to advance to the final. Greystones managed to win 4 of the 5 away matches which was backed up by solid performances at home.  The 1st leg of the final against Portmarnock will be played at home on Saturday August 11 with the return leg 2 weeks later.

Greystones play in the semi final of the Metropolitan Cup this Friday (July 20). The matches are due to start just after 4pm with 4 at home and 5 away against Naas. If you can please come out to support the team.

Congratulations to Martin Commons and his Metropolitan Cup team who defeated Stackstown in the quarter final on Sunday. The match was very close with Greystones winning 5-4. We will post details on the semi final once we have them.

On a busy Sunday Greystones Metropolitan Cup team had a great win over Bray in a very close match.  Well done to Martin and his panel of young and experienced players. Unfortunately our Junior Cup team lost to eventual winners Woodbrook in Woodbrook in a tight contest.  Well done to Colm and his panel  who put in a big effort.

A big weekend for our teams with both the Metropolitan and Junior Cup teams in action on Sunday.

The Metropolitan team play Bray at 3.30 with 4 games at home and 5 away.

The Junior Cup team play Woodbrook at 09.50, with all 5 matches in Woodbrook.

Congratulations to the Junior Cup Team  managed by Colm Mulcahy won qualified in the top 4 at Woodbrook last Sunday. Next up is a regional semi final (5 matches) against Woodbrook in Woodbrook on Sunday June 10, with the matches starting at 09.50. All support welcome.
