Elliott Nolan shot a fantastic 35 points to win the Reds’ 14 hole competition and Ryan now moves to the Blues. Hugh Taylor was second with 29 points and gets cut to 34 and John Byrne shot 26 points to secure third spot and has been cut to 28.

The winner of Davie’s Prize was Marc Lawless who shot a fantastic score of 41 points off 10 in high winds.
In his speech David thanked Pete Anderson the Club Junior Convenor for all his hard work and encouraged the boys to come up to the club to practice, pointing out that the lads that do are the lads who improve the most.
Well done to David and all who played today.
Toby Murphy – a big part of the Leinster 2022 Inter-Provincials winning team.
Inter-Provincials 18th & 19th July – Templepatrick Golf Club, Belfast.
Having beaten both Connaught and Muster on Monday, Leinster faced Ulster in the final on Tuesday in an effort to defend their title.
After his two excellent performances for the Leinster team on Monday when he won both his singles matches, Greystones’ Toby Murphy was out in the foursomes match on Tuesday paired with William Walshe from our good neighbours, Delgany.
The tie was very close throughout, but when Toby and William birdied the 18th to secure a half-point against their Ulster opposition, Leinster could begin to breathe.
Adam Fahey (Seapoint) added another point shortly afterwards on the final green before Jack McKenna (Laytown & Bettystown) secured the win when he beat Massereene’s Scott McCabe 2&1.
“It was a great week,” said Toby, “I felt I played better yesterday but William played great today
“It was nerve wrecking,” added Walshe, “there was never really a moment where you could relax but it feels great to represent Leinster and even better to win”.
Meanwhile, Connacht finished third in the U14 Boys’ event with Munster finishing in fourth.
Perfect start for Toby in Belfast
Congratulations to Toby Murphy on two great performances today. Toby was out in the singles in the first of the Under 14, Inter Provincials this morning when Leinster took on Connaght. Toby won his match two up after hitting the par 5, 18th hole in two and leaving himself a tap in birdie for the win. Leinster won the match 4:1.
In the afternoon session Leinster took on Munster and again, Toby was out in the singles. Toby played equally impressively in the afternoon match, winning 3&2 and contributing a point for the Leinster overall 4:1 result.
Leinster will face Ulster tomorrow in the final.

Good work by our juniors in Bangor
Well done to our three junior golfers who represented the club in the Ulster Boys and Ulster Girls Championships which took place in Bangor over the last two days.
Isabella Stewart was in 6th place overnight after shooting 36 points on Thursday. Another 36 points today had her finish in a very creditable 8th place, nine shots behind the winner Eva Banks from Balmoral Golf Club.
Jamie Anderson was leading the championship for a spell yesterday after shooting 3 over par, his round including an eagle two on the eighteenth. A six over round today saw Jamie finish in eleventh place, eight shots behind the eventual winner who was Calum Duane from Naas Golf Club.
Dylan didn’t have his A game with him this week and was out of the running after his first round of +8 but made the cut.
