So after beating Old Conna this morning in our Darcy Cup semi-final, Karl Holmes sent his team out to take on Bray in the final. The squad had a chance to go one step further than last year’s runner-up finish.
Management made a couple of changes from the morning line up by bringing in Darren McCormack and Jamie Anderson to replace Will O’Riordan and Toby Murphy.
Greystones ran out clear winners by 4 to 1. The match results were as follows:
- Alan Condren won 4&2
- David Byrne won 6&5
- Dylan Holmes 1 down through 16
- Adam Packman/Darren McCormack 1 up through 15
- Shane O’Connor/Jamie Anderson won 6&4
Congratulations to the squad on a great win.
Afterwards it was a great pleasure to have former Ryder Cup winner present the trophy to Karl and the players.
However there will be no resting on their laurels for the squad as they now prepare for Barton Shield and Senior Cup campaigns.
