Mark Cheevers & Gavin Campbell took on Julian Keown & Daniel Ryan this afternoon in the final of the Frank Talbot trophy.
In this, the club four-ball championship Julian, as the low man, went to scratch in the match with Mark & Gavin both getting 14 shots and Daniel receiving 19.
The match was tight on the front nine with a win for Julian & Daniel on the eighth getting them one ahead which they held going to the back nine after a half on the ninth.
An excellent tee shot to five feet on fourteen from Daniel was enough to win that hole and to go three up. Daniel hit his tee shot right on the fifteenth and decided to play up the thirteenth fairway. An eight iron and a wedge got him to twenty feet from the pin and he slotted the putt home for birdie and a 4&3 match win.
